Saturday is the sixth day of the week according to international standard ISO 8601. In some parts of the world such as the Middle East, North Africa, most of North America, and Southeast Asia, many people view Saturday as the seventh day of the week. It was named no later than the second century for the planet (Saturn), which controlled the first hour of that day according to Vettius Valens. The planet was named for the Roman god of agriculture Saturn (Latin Saturnus). I want to cook something really, really special this coming Saturday, as the whole of my extended family (from my side and my husband's side) will be coming 'round for dinner to meet my 10 month old baby girl, who they havent met in person yet. I am out of ideas as to what to cook! I need it to be original and fantastic! I usually cook a huge roast whenever someone from the family comes past, but the idea is getting a bit old. A good game I always like is when you write a famous persons name on a piece of paper, one for each guest, stick it on their backs and they have to go round asking questions with yes or no answers until they guess who they are. Another fun one is to put different strange feeling things (maybe suggestive if it won't offend the guests) into bags and blind fold people and get them to feel what is in the bag.
