A mouse (plural mice) is a small mammal belonging to the order of rodents. The best known mouse species is the common house mouse (Mus musculus). It is also a popular pet. The American white-footed mouse (Peromyscus leucopus) and the deer mouse (Peromyscus maniculatus) also sometimes live in houses. In some places, certain kinds of field mice are also common. This rodent is eaten by large birds such as hawks and eagles. They are known to invade homes for food and occasionally shelter. Although mice may live up to two and a half years in captivity, the average mouse in the wild lives only about four months, primarily owing to heavy predation. Cats, wild dogs, foxes, birds of prey, snakes and even certain kinds of arthropods have been known to prey heavily upon mice. Nevertheless, because of its remarkable adaptability to almost any environment, and its ability to live commensally with humans, the mouse is regarded to be the second most successful mammalian genus living on Earth today, after humans. Mice can at times be harmful rodents, damaging and eating crops, causing structural damages and spreading diseases through their parasites and feces. In North America, breathing dust that has come in contact with mouse excrements has been linked to hantavirus, which may lead to Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS). Primarily nocturnal animals, mice compensate for their poor eyesight with a keen sense of hearing, and rely especially on their sense of smell to locate food and avoid predators. The original motivation for the domestication of cats is thought to have been for their predation of mice and their relatives, the rats. From Wikipedia under the

Q. I want to buy a wireless mouse, preferably at Fry's. I'm willing to pay $30 if it's really good. I just want the best for the price. Is there really a big difference between a $15 and $30 mouse? What's the difference. I really don't care about range. It should be pretty accurate. Also, I want to be able to use the mouse for a couple of years. For the battery life, as long as it lasts more than 3 months, I'm okay with it. I heard about mouse that doesn't need batteries. Are they good? Also, what about recharageable battery mouse? How do you recharge a battery? Is it a different device or something? Please recommend a good mouse for a fair price. I appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance. It said it was the number 1 mouse catcher in the world. its circular shaped... and the mice crawl in there and the door shuts and starts spinning them. They said its a trap that you will never have to see the mice and get grossed out. Asked by mmcchic23 - Thu Oct 25 10:12:31 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. i bought a package of two for about $6.00. it so was not worth the money. one of them went off by itself in the middle of the night ...so since you cant reset them i had to throw it away. what is better is a mouse trap that is also enclosed but on the inside is just a regular ol mouse trap. it's easy to set and you dont have to see the dead mouse either. you just lift the front of the cover and pull down the release button and it lets go of the mouse in to a bag. that is the one i recomend. Answered by yesiamalesbian - Thu Oct 25 10:22:18 2007 What is a Hazel mouse or Hazelnut mouse and how do you catch one in the house?
Q. Normal mouse traps with cheese, Nuttella etc do not work. Peanuts seem to be his main food as he collected them off the table and stowed them under a cushion on the settee. I laid out new traps using peanuts which he carefully removed without setting the traps off. Asked by Girmi 5 - Mon Jan 28 11:16:38 2008 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments A. A Hazel mouse is a variety of dormouse. as for catching it. I have no idea. Try baiting the trap with Hazel nuts, sweet-chestnuts, wild cherries, acorns, blackberries and raspberries. as that seems to be there main diet in the wild. thats if is the same as the pic in the link..
