I have now had three heavy plastic trash cans destroyed by some kind of wild animal that eats holes through them to get to my garbage. It is eating holes both through the tops of the lids and through the base of the can. I find little pieces of plastic all over the place around the holes. Trash cans are less than 10 dollars, about the price of 3 or 4 packages of plastic bags. Don't use rat traps it will injure the larger animals and will not help your problem. If its rats, you cant get enough of them to cure your problem. Setting out poison is illegal and may kill a neighbors pet dog or cat. Get a trash can. Q. I plan on working in the animal welfare career. I've looked over the different courses and I know I want to be either an animal welfare inspector or investigator. ( as in working for the SPCA and informing people about animal welfare, investigating complaints, gathering evidence and rescuing animals ) I can't find any helpful information on the differences of the two or which is the one that I'm aiming to be! So could someone please tell me what the exact title of that job is and what the difference between the inspector and investigator is? Based simply on the words themselves, it seems that an inspector would be someone who goes from place to place looking for animal welfare violations. When a violation is suspected, it would be the investigator's job to look into the alleged violation and find out what is happening.
